We live in a world where everything around us is scheduled, right from getting up in the morning to falling asleep at night everything we do is somehow dependent on time. We can barely imagine a day without time but have you ever wondered what time is and how it became such an inseparable part of our lives. This post is all about time and our perception of time.

What is Time?
Time is a quantity that we use to study and understand various concepts of the universe. It is used as a reference in our lives to identify and record events that are occurring every day around us. Time is defined as the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole. We use the time to represent changes that occur in nature as a series of events. Some even symbolize the time as a flowing river which never stops.
The History of Time measurement
Ever since man has noticed the regular movement of the sun and moon, we have wondered about the flow of time. It is considered that we started measuring time about 30,000 years ago by looking at the sun moon and the stars. During the earlier days, man kept a note of time by looking at the lunar circles and the length of days using sundials after which he realized that the length of the day varies with seasons and came to a conclusion that the Earth's orbit is not circular but elliptical. What are our final thoughts on time?
Time is a valuable resource that keeps our world running smoothly, a dimension that puts constraints and makes things certain for us and helps our brains organize things. It is a dimension that we use as a reference to all the events that we have around us which would've been impossible in any other situation. Time is something that exists only for the one who counts it for the rest its just a quantity which is inexistant.
